This arrangement parallels the original work but is designed for upper intermediate players. The whip cracks are performed by clapping and are cued in the trombone part. Asking the audience to perform the whip cracks upon cue is an option. The sleigh bell part is written out and may be played by an auxiliary musician or selected audience member. The school principal would be a great candidate. A substitute horn part is provided for use by a second trombone.
