Dykes and text by Edward Caswall, this lovely English carol from the 19th century is arranged for medium voice, eg. mezzo soprano, violin and piano. Its soaring melody and substantial text make it a perfect choice for Christmas concerts, or as a prelude or offertory in church services. I have provided a live recording of the high voice version, which I think is preferable to a MIDI recording - it has some background noise from a baby in the first minute or so, but it gets better!
