V 101- Simple Gifts (Dancing Song)  Joseph Brakett Jr. -1848     For 2 part (treble) chorus and piano. (optional handbell part included/ 3 octaves) Begins softly in F major with piano and unison voices, then changes into an acapella round, building to an exciting key change (G major) with harmony.  Finally returns to a quiet ending in unison.  There is some dissonance of course during the round.  I actually looked up the ‘real’ words, copied and pasted them in and also found out that it was really composed by someone! Very performable with students used to singing harmony.  Key of  F to G
