Published by Sy Brandon (A0.754963)."Shananigans" is a one-movement playful composition in three contrasting sections. The first section uses pyramids of over an obstinate as its first idea. The second idea that contains many running passages is treated contrapuntally. The second section is at a slower tempo in three four time and contains chromatic lines and jeering motifs. The final Allegro is staccato and playful that builds to a climax using contrary motion.
