Send in the Clowns is the best-known song from the Stephen Sondheimmusical, A Little Night Music, first performed in 1973. It has been recorded many times by artists as diverse as Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisland, Judy Collins, Madonna and Sarah Vaughan. This version is arranged as a duet for two Tenor Saxophones.

Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances. The overall performance time is around four minutes.

Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun and challenging way to help with ensemble skills, especially with all the changes in tempo and meter. Students will find plenty of technical and expressive challenges with the wide range in parts, the regular tempo changes and the compound time signatures.
