I am not an expert or professional, just a music enthusiast. I ordered other titles to study orchestration of works from the late 1800s and early 1900s, but I also thought this would help. I have an audio recording called "Phantasia" based on this work. I really like it and...

hoped that this would help me learn. This is NOT a study score. This includes the conductor's score and the score for all performers separately; it is more than I need. The print quality is very good; the print size is good. It is probably 9"x12". You can probably put any one of the scores on the piano and play from it without it trying to close, as with most study scores. The cover is different than that shown above; I would have preferred the above, but it makes little difference.I look forward to learning from it.

  • August 23, 2007 A classical of our's time musicals

Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote a masterpiece of semi-rock in 1974: JC Superstar. The Phantom of the Opera represents the author's other face: the symphonic achievement. The quasi-operistic style of the work is evident. It is Lloyd at his best, melodious, mature and highly innovative. But, as in...

JC it is Lloyd with tenderness and a profound dramatic sense of music. I look forward for a complete edition of the work

a beginner stage...better not buy it...coz it changes key often...and the conductor plays an really important role in the music...
