The scriptures are replete with images of the sheltering grace of God's mercy. Taking this metaphor and developing it, this anthem describes the havens of rest that are provided through our faith in Christ. The tune is a folk-like air that wafts gently through the poetry allowing for clarity and expression. Simply presented harmonies embrace the tune, at times creating moments of exquisite allure. A final quote from the beloved “Be Still, My Soul” brings the piece to a peaceful quiescent conclusion.
