Published by YL (S0.966663).The Havanaise was originally composed for violin and orchestra, based on the habanera rhythm, written in 1887, for Cuban violinist Rafael Diaz Albertini. For the first time this work is available in a transcription for cello. We tried to stay as true to the original text as possible in the solo part, as well as using the latest research to edit the piano part. We hope that this transcription with become a stale of the cello repertoire as it is already for violinists.
