    A great golden oldie. The years have not left this book behind; perhaps lacking the gloss and pizzazz of modern methods but very structured and great for the establishment of basic technique. I would like to see the inclusion of a CD especially in the first half of the book...

    so that young players of trombone could have an improved aural concept of positions 1,2,3 4. For the price nothing competes.

  • January 24, 2008 Standard beginner method

    I used Rubank in elementary school when I first started on slide trombone. I used it again after college to reaquaint myself with the instrument. So it was natural for me to pick up another copy of Rubank to familiarize myself with my new valve trombone.
