Daniel Rowland and Alberto Mesirca team up to bring us their first album together, performing Italian, Spanish, and Argentinian music. Their zealous recital of Romantic music, including a transcription of Astor Piazzolla's history of the tango, draws listeners in and keep them entranced. Dutch/English violinist Daniel Rowland's playing has been called "wonderful, ravishing in its finesse" (The Guardian) and "totally and truly charismatic" (Beeld). He is currently professor of violin at the Royal College of Music in London. Italian guitarist Alberto Mesirca has been celebrated across Europe, winning such awards as the "Golden Guitar" at the International Guitar Meeting of Alessandria, Best Recording of the Year, and was nominated Young Artist of the Year at the Festival of Aalborg, Denmark.
