My dear friend commissioned me to writethis piece as her wedding processional. Her fiancé described the sound they were lookingfor as, "... like Sigur Ros, but anything that sounds like a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack to aNordic tundra landscape should do the trick. I have full confidence that what you compose will beawesome." The title also came from her fiancé, as it is part of a poem by E. E. Cummings called "ICarry Your Heart With Me" that he had engraved on his wedding band.
