About the music
Revelation is a dramatic work for treble chorus, based on a text from Revelation, the last book of the Christian Bible. This book is one of the most controversial and difficult descriptions of apocalyptic events, with many diverse interpretations of the events described in the account. The severity and cataclysmic nature of the events is staggering. This work isolates one apocalyptic sequence - the sounding of seven trumpets, each on heralding a more horrific event than the trumpet before it.
