SKU: A0.835855

Composed by Paul Burnell. Contemporary. Score and parts. 5 pages. Paul Burnell #5774729. Published by Paul Burnell (A0.835855).

Resolve by Paul Burnell, composed 2020, for Clarinet in Bb - with an optional drone.

The optional drone is a very soft chord of G - D - A, arranged in fifths and played throughout the piece. The drone could be played on organ, strings, pre-recorded backing etc.

The piece may end at any of the optional ending points marked with a double barline and 'Opt. end'. This means that the duration of the piece may be either: 0:40, 2:30, 3:10 or 5:15.

Alternately, the piece may start just after any of the indicated optional endings - starting at bar 21, or bar 81, or bar 107.

The performer should make an audible breath sound (likely an exaggerated breath in) at the points marked with a square note head (bars 1, 19, 73, 103 and 145).

'Resolve' was first performed by Emily Mehigh on YouTube, 14 May 2020.
