Published by Andrea Fisher-Jeffes (S0.78287).Originally composed for the euphonium, this solo Tuba work was inspired by the vast hills in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. African compositional techniques, such as the pentatonic scale and repetitive thematic material, are used with a lively interplay between the tuba and piano. The range is quite extended and the rhythm can be complicated so an advanced intermediate level of playing is required for this piece. As the name may suggest, a recommended safety limit is needed to play the piece but you can push the fast section.
