This work is inspired by the famous Italian Renaissance painter Raphael and his magnificent paintings; at the same time it’s a very personal work for Ferrer Ferran, who dedicated it to his own brother Raphael. The dedication pays tribute to Raphael’sgreatwork in the field of youth music education. Both Raphaels, painter and teacher, display huge devotion to their work, which is beautifully captured in this composition.

Dit werk is geïnspireerd op de beroemde Italiaanse renaissanceschilder Rafaël en diens prachtige schilderijen; tegelijkertijd is het een zeer persoonlijk werk van Ferrer Ferran, opgedragen aan zijn broer Raphael. Die verdient waardering voorzijn bijzondere verdiensten in het muziekonderwijs voor de jeugd. Beiden, de schilder en de leraar, worden gekenmerkt door een grote toewijding aan hun werk – en die toewijding wordt in deze compositie fraai tot uitdrukking gebracht.

Dieses Werk ist vom berühmten italienischen Renaissance-Maler Raphael und dessen großartigen Bildern inspiriert; zugleich ist es aber auch ein sehr persönliches Werk von Ferrer Ferran, da er es seinem Bruder Raphael gewidmet hat. Diesem wird fürseine großen Verdienste in der Jungmusikerausbildung Tribut gezollt. Beide, den Maler und den Lehrer, zeichnet eine große Hingabe an ihre Aufgabe aus, die in diesem Werk sehr schön zum Ausdruck kommt.

La pièce Raphael n’évoque pas l’art cité, ni l’artiste en lui-même mais révèle le lien étroit qui unit l’un l’autre, qu’il soit pictural ou musical. La composition, récréative par son Andante con swing et paisible par sonPreludio, fait allusion la générosité, la compréhension et l’affection que portent toutes les personnes dévouées l’enseignement musical. Questa opera trae ispirazione da Raffaello, il famoso pittore rinascimentale italiano, ma è anche un’opera molto personale di Ferrer Ferran, che la ha dedicata a suo fratello Raffaello, al quale sono riconosciuti grandi meriti nella formazione digiovani musicisti. Entrambi, pittore e maestro, si distinguono per la grande dedizione con la quale svolgono il loro compito, di cui quest’opera ne è una grande espressione.
