Son of Espirito Santo Morales and Dolores Lopez, was one of the most important Colombian composers, besides being one of the most works left. It was always characterized by its elegance, in addition to its musical talent. He was the first composer to do song protest in Colombia, with the song Yesterday I was thrown out of town.He began his musical development in his land. When he was very young, he moved to Bogotá, where he would develop his artistic career almost entirely. He was always characterized by his musical talent, his good manners, his fine dress and his intellectual activity.In 1935 he made his first composition in the Colombian capital: a tango entitled Marta, with which he achieved great success.He made his first musical recording in Sonolux studios with the vocals and instruments, tiple and guitar of Garzón and Collazos under the direction of the maestro Luis Uribe Bueno. It was a simple of 78 RPM that contained its bambuco Maria Antonia and Arrunchaditos, of Rafael Godoy Recording, with which I obtained that the Colombian people began to recognize to him like composer ..He also served as Director of Public Relations for Sonolux, and as a commentator on various cultural radio programs at various stations in the Colombian capital.He died on September 22, 1978 because of a respiratory condition at the Country Clinic in the Colombian capital, although his body was transferred to Socorro by express wish on his part.
