Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by James Strange. Concert,Contemporary,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 12 pages. Penny Music Co. #3236611. Published by Penny Music Co. (A0.897009).

Frédéric Chopin (1810-49) was a Polish composer and pianist of the romantic era. He wrote primarily for the solo piano, although his works also include two piano concertos, chamber works, and Polish songs. This beautifully haunting piece has been arranged and adapted for double bass with piano accompaniment. It provides a good study in bow technique and control, dynamic and tonal precision, and positional work around the E minor scale. This is an ideal recital piece for an early/intermediate player.
