Inspired by Chopin's set of Preludes originally in terms of what a Prelude can be this work is one of my earliest compositions and is also my shortest. Nothing more than a simple tune it forms the start of what became a vast range of other Preludes in terms of difficulty, thematic scope and pianistic colour. This work is 1 page long and takes around 30 seconds in performance. Ideally played with the following early Preludes in the set or as a study piece for beginner pianists.
