Mr. Fischer is one of the best violin teachers in the world. Practice like the name say put in practise the lessons that you view in Basics, in a very clear, easy and genius way. Every violin student must have this book.

I found in this book a very useful source of many short but hit-to-the-point exercises to make my violin playing better. It's very well-planned book and suits anyone who's serious in the violin playing!

After months of months of hearing about Simon Fischer's "Basics" and "Practice", I finally purchased "Practice". It is easily understood, and worth the money. I consider it an integral part of my learning experience, and will likely use it for years.

Practice is a very detailed book that I think wil be very helpful as I pursue my instruction on the violin. I don't believe I would give it to a brand new beginner though as it might scare them away. You need to read carefully and digest just a...

bit at a time. I have already gleaned some good tips from the book and expect with long term use it will add much to my practice sessions that will help me to grow as a violinist. Virginia Wightman (Ginny)
