Playing is all done in 5-finger positions, but includes position changes within pieces. New signs and terms include crescendo and diminuendo, mp and mf, 8va higher and lower, accent, natural sign, and dotted quarter. Damper pedal is introduced at page 38. Students will also learn how to transpose.
