Mark Burrows' arrangement is a delight! This arrangement is accompanied by an intermediate level flute and hand drums. The harmonies are logical and readily learned. This selection has energy, beauty, and fun for the participants AND the audience. Have fun with it! Pat-a-pan is one of those songs that is readily treasured, yet this very old French Christmas selection remains largely unfamiliar to audiences. You can't really go wrong with this arrangment which will be delightfully received by performers and audience alike. It's a treat to sing and treat to hear. If you don't have real hand drums available, improvise! (Try the bottom of the piano bench!) The drum line IS essential to the character of this arrangement.
