"Partita" is inspired by the musical structure of the Baroque period suite. It has five parts with the names of the most characteristic dances: Allemande, Sarabande, Courante and Gigue. These titles are merely inspiring and the pieces have no dance character. They are stylized versions of the original dances.

The duration is approximately 11 minutes and its degree of difficulty is advanced. It is composed for Spanish guitarist Alberto Royo.
