This is not “just another setting” of the Easter Marian antiphon! Raising our voices in joyful praise of Mary as the source of comfort and joy, the short SATB refrain has the flavor of a royal fanfare. The contrasting verses adopt an air of a chant melody, even though unison voices give way to multiple parts. It makes an excellent choice for almost any festive Marian celebration throughout the liturgical year—and it’s easy to learn!
