Improvisations (taksims) play an important part in the music for the ney and the term New Taksim refers to the fact that the improvisation is not based on the usual modes but on newly created contemporary performing techniques. Thus the New Taksim adds an original dimension to the tradition of ney playing. This improvisation was recorded in Germany in 2014.
