Published by Sy Brandon (A0.755151).This composition won first prize in the New England String Ensemble Composition Contest. There are five movements based upon New England history. The first movement is "1560 - Amerindian Harvest Dance" and is a reworking of the composers "Celebration Dance". The second movement "1620-The Pilgrims" uses "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow" for a set of variations. The third movement "1770 - Birth of a Nation" uses adaptations of "Chester" and "Yankee Doodle". The fourth movement, "1850’s - Irish and Scottish Immigration" uses reels and jigs. The last movement "1990’s - Convergence" uses pieces of the earlier movements with Brazilian, Asian, and West Indies folk songs.
