Moonlight Masquerade is an exciting waltz, reminiscent of the works of Leroy Anderson. Imagine the lights and glitter of a masquerade ball, the romance of a star-filled sky, and the glow of the moonlight. Written in F and B-flat major, and scored for a full orchestra (with no doublings), the string parts lay surprising well throughout. Al Davis (who was an expert dancer himself) makes the waltz fresh again through his expert scoring and lively melody.
