Arranged for the Sacramento State Jazz Singers, this version of the Joey Calderazzo tune features a vocalese on Michael Brecker's great solo from the Tales from the Hudson recording. This is a challenging chart from many angles, and you'll need a strong tenor soloist for the vocalese. The bulk of the work for the ensemble is background singing, but these backgrounds are developed and intricate, creating a moody, dark and tense vibe throughout against a medium swing.
