Though the text is officially for Eastertide, this elegant setting by a Belgian-born contemporary of Lassus would be especially compelling on any occasion of memorial. After setting forth the phrase: "Eternal light will shine upon your Saints," more than half of the remainder of the piece is taken up with an exquisite chain of alleluias.
