Lucid Dreaming provides a sonic representation of a lucid dream, in which one has both control of their thoughts and ideas while still being in a dream state. Several main rhythmic themes occur throughout the entire work in a variety of ways, sometimes strongly stated, sometimes subtle, and in a variety of tempos and meters. Throughout the lucid dream, the themes act much like characters in a story, At times working together, while at other times conflicting.

-Lucid dreaming' is defined as: the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer experience and sometimes enabling direct control over the content of the dream, a realistic world that is to some degree in the control of the dreamer. The complete experience from start to finish is called a lucid dream. Essentially, you are dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming. Inspired by this concept, the composition Lucid Dreaming provides a sonic representation of a lucid dream, in which one has both control of their thoughts and ideas while still being in a dream state. There are several main rhythmic themes that occur throughout the entire work. These themes occur in a variety of ways, sometimes strongly stated, sometimes subtle, and in a variety of tempos and meters. Throughout the lucid dream, the themes act much like characters in a story. At times they work together, while at other times there is conflict between them. Lucid Dreaming does not depict a specific dream, but instead allows the listener to create their own images, therefore having some control over their own lucid dream.
