For many people The Rocketeer represents the pinnacle of James Horner’s filmography. James had commented that despite his passion for aviation, he’d missed every opportunity to write music about flying. And so this assignment became a labour of love, and it really shows. The Rocketeer captures the exhilaration and joy of flight like no other score.
The Love Theme (also known as "Jenny" on the Original Soundtrack) soars with innocence with its solo horn and full string ensemble. The strikingly gorgeous layering amidst so much enthusiatic action material will remind many of the same role the love theme played in Horner’s early score for Krull.

Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!
