Looking Up At Stars – Joyful but relaxed

"Looking Up at the Stars" evokes feelings of wonder and awe as one gazes at the endless beauty in the night sky. Imagine the setting of an open field and an atmosphere of spaciousness and serenity.

The piece begins with a soft, contemplative melody. Bars 21 through 29 use sustained chords in the left hand to create a feeling of spaciousness and distance. The ending, at the Coda, represents a shooting star and serves as a reminder of the incredible sights seen when one looks up at the stars. Playing the melody an octave higher on the repeat is optional.
