Published by Yoann Filin (A0.1013276).This famous air was originally collected by Jane Ross in the County Londonderry in Ireland, then published by George Petrie in 1855. For this solo guitar arrangement, I took a raw version from O’Neill’s Music of Ireland (1903), reharmonized the melody, although kept simple harmonies to focus on counterpoint and full exploitation of resonance.

Cet air célèbre a été, à l'origine, recueilli par Jane Ross dans le comté de Londonderry en Irlande, puis publié par George Petrie en 1855. J'ai pour cet arrangement utilisé une version brute issue du recueil O'Neill's Music of Ireland (1903), réharmonisé la mélodie, tout en gardant des harmonies simples pour travailler sur le contrepoint et une pleine exploitation de la résonance de l'instrument.
