Lush extended tonal language. Highly chromatic and contrapuntal. An innovative fugue unlike any other in the literature. This work was begun in 1981 and underwent revisions on and off for 28 years until it was finally completed in 2009. This piece is intended only for first-rate virtuoso pianists.
