LETTERS FROM A POET IN ITALY.
MVT. IV  "DAVID"   This song is a setting of a poem by Jerry McElveen, inspired by his re-visiting the Michelangelo Sculpture in Florence. He had seen the sculpture decades before and it had made a "so-so" impression. Jerry's text on this trip displays his new appreciation of "David" and begins..."Get ready Big Guy I'm Coming to see you again"!
This song is Jazzy and fun. In this song the singer has to imitate a "bar room" singer rather than a sophisticated performer!  The performer on the recording is Marsha Anderson who has a background in opera...but can also "Swing"        NOTE: The tempos on the recording are a little "fast" and can be performed a few clicks slower to be let the music "breath."

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
