Leonesse is the name of the castle and landed estates of Lady Guinevere, from the famous story of King Arthur. This stately concert march leads us to the old England with its legendary castles and the beautiful and impressive landscapes where many knights have died. Following a festive opening, a majestic melody symbolises the atmosphere of courtly elegance and refinement. The second part of this original composition describes, with a broad and dignified melody, the beauty and extensiveness of the English hills.

Leonesse is de naam van de burcht en de landerijen van Lady Guinevere uit het bekende verhaal van koning Arthur. Deze statige concertmars neemt je mee naar het oude Engeland met zijn legendarische kastelen en zijn prachtige weidselandschappen waar menig dappere ridder stierf. Na een feestelijke opening weerklinkt een majestueus thema dat de sfeer van hoofse elegantie en verfijndheid weergeeft. Het tweede gedeelte van deze originele concertmars, schildertmet een waardige, brede melodie de schoonheid en de uitgestrektheid van het Engelse heuvellandschap.

Leonesse ist der Name des Schlosses von Lady Guinevere aus der berühmten Sage von König Arthur. Dieser majestätische Marsch führt den Zuhörer ins alte England mit seinen legendären Schlössern und wunderbaren ausgedehnten Landschaften, wo manch ein tapfrer Ritter sein Leben ließ. Nach einer festlichen Eröffnung verkörpert ein majestätisches Thema die königliche Eleganz. Im zweiten Teil beschreibt eine würdevolle, breit angelegte Melodie die Schönheit und Weitläufigkeit der englischen Landschaft.

Guenièvre, la belle Dame de Leonesse, fille de Léodegan de Carmélide, est entrée dans la légende en épousant le célèbre roi Arthur.
