This new release from DOREMI is a retrospective of American violinist Oscar Shumsky (1917-2000), one of the most respected violinists of the 20th century. Shumsky began his violin studies when he was only three years old, and made his concert debut alongside the Philadelphia Orchestra under Leopold Stokowski when he was only seven. Stokowski declared him to be "the most astounding genius I have ever heard." This album features both live and studio recordings which were made between 1940 and 1982. Most of these recordings are receiving their first release here.
