Guitar,(4 guitars/large ensemble) - Early Intermediate - Digital Download

SKU: H0.523819-SC001266705

By Ludovico Einaudi. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Score,Set of Parts. 26 pages. Published by Derek Hasted (H0.523819-SC001266705).

This is an intermediate-level arrangement of the gentle piece by Einaudi. This arrangement is based on an version performed by Hampshire Guitar Orchestra. Guitar 4 is tuned down to 6=D, and guitars 4 and 3 provide an overlapping sustained sound that emulates a piano with the sustain pedal down. Guitar 1 goes as high as fret 17, but the music is slow and the notes are easy to read and to reach. The parts are three pages long, but will fit a conventional music stand without the need for page turns.

The music is an intriguing blend of 8- and 5-bar phrases, and although certain phrases are repeated, there is a tantalizing mix of similar phrases that differ in subtle ways.

Set in the same key as the original, this is an easy-intermediate arrangement that makes a superb "slow piece" in a concert.

This is one of a growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts with no page turns in the part scores.
