Landet som icke ar (The Land That Is Not) for children's or women's choir and piano is composed to text by Edith Sodergran (in Swedish) with a Finnish translation by the composer. It was commissioned by the Finnish Broadcasting Company. It is a lyrical work in which the piano has also an important role. The starting point of the musical material was an extract from an old English tune, which is heard at the end of the work.
