Composed by Fiona Coulter. Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 22 pages. Fiona Coulter #29741. Published by Fiona Coulter (A0.912297).

This piece is a set of variations based on the famous 'La Follia' theme popular with many composers in the baroque period, written for the modern string quartet. The piece explores a variety of string techniques, including legato, detached, staccato, saltando and sul pont bowing. Although written with performance in mind, it could also make a useful teaching piece, due to the variety of techniques employed. While there are some difficulties involved in playing, it should be possible for an advanced student. This item includes a full score and a set of parts for violins 1 and 2, viola and cello.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
