The Hermes’ harp evokes suggestions from the ancient world that reflect themselves in a modern way: the image of an instrument of «thaumaturgic» properties, which is capable of vibrating wonderfully even without a performer, passing from the hands of his divine creator to other, as divine or semidivine, but always deserving, for better or worse, to start hypnotic lullabies accompanying myths now poignant, now absolutely pure.
The constant rhythmic pattern that characterizes this piece takes its inspiration from the energy emanating from the magical instrument that, at the end of its cycle and even without its elected player, and thrown into the waters of a lake, still, from the bottom of these, it keeps on playing its haunting dirges.
