Walz (A0.767643).Grandma was usually not a teary-eyed woman, but she would pull out her hanky every time she watched a Billy Graham Crusade on television back in the day. "It was that beautiful invitation song 'Just As I Am' when the audience would come pouring down front," Grandma would say, explaining her tears. Not only is this a moving invitational hymn but a worshipful prelude, communion or offertory hymn. I don't often leave off the tempo meter, but I just couldn't come up with a sufficient number for this one. It should be played with such a gentle freedom that comes from the heart. In general terms, though, I will say that the introduction and conclusion should be slower than the verses. I gave you a little help with fingering in a couple of place, but please, take your time and feel the spirit of this intermediate piano solo. Three pages, key of Eb with no key changes, approximately 2:30 minutes performance time.
