June (Barcarolle) is a piece from Tchaikovsky's "The Seasons", a collection of 12 pieces representing each month of the year. This arrangement is for alto flute and piano. The alto flute, with it's low haunting tone, is well suited to this melodic tune. Especially when paired with the short poem that was included with the Russian edition of Tchaikovsky's piece:

Juin
Let us go to the shore;
there the waves will kiss our feet.
With mysterious sadness
the stars will shine down on us.
