Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.851279

Composed by Tim Attride. Christian. Octavo. 2 pages. Tim Attride #2032471. Published by Tim Attride (A0.851279).

A wholly original hymn with words by Chris Porteous (a published lyricist whose canon includes "He gave his life") and tune by yours truly. Chris gave me the words and another tune one Sunday after our morning service as a possible choir peice. Whilst the words spoke to me, the tune left me underwhelmed and I resolved to write a new tune. Come Friday morning, I had nothing. However, a few minutes of inspiration gave me a tune; a free moment after lunch provided the harmonisation; then time late afternoon allowed me to set it out. At choir practice that evening we practised it for the Sunday. Most appropriate at Pentecost, but useful as a general hymn after Easter. Nothing difficult for the singers or accompanist, but an effective and easily-learnt piece. (Verses 2 & 3 are on a separate sheet).
