SKU: A0.857894

Composed by Phillip Brooks. Arranged by James P. Colman. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 8 pages. KeySynth Studios #35531. Published by KeySynth Studios (A0.857894).

This sparkling arrangement provides a fresh perspective on one of the most beloved hymns of the faith. The arrangement takes full advantage of the dynamic range of the piano to produce a stirring reminder of God's faithfulness to support His children during difficult times. The opening verse presents the beautiful melody in the left hand. The tension increases as a motive is used to create a multi-part modulation to the second verse. The somber words of the second verse are vividly captured with a new melody set in a minor key. The storm of the second verse gives way to the reminder that it is indeed well with my soul which leads to the triumphant entrance of the final verse. The arrangement is very challenging with technically demanding passages and large reaches. It moves from the key of Db-major to D-minor and then returns to Db-major.
