Composed by John Rox. Arranged by Craig Garner. Contemporary. Score and parts. 24 pages. Dorm 40 Music #3237007. Published by Dorm 40 Music (A0.740269).2017 Holiday Contest Entry.
"I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas" is a holiday novelty song originally performed by 10-year-old Gayla Peevey in 1953. In this unique arrangement, the full quintet plays verses 1 and 3, but in the middle verse the trumpets and trombone SING in unison, accompanied by the horn and tuba. No singing skill is required. And the lyrics are silly enough to keep your audience smiling and laughing throughout. Pure fun!! Scored for brass quintet: 2 B-flat trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. Performance time 3:30. Published by Dorm 40 Music, www.dorm40music.com.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
