This volume contains much of the music I have arranged or re-arranged to date for piano trio, some of moderate difficulty, some more advanced. Many styles are represented, eg. Gospel, Smooth Jazz and Traditional. There are seven titles, including some for the Christmas season: Amazing Grace, Away In Midwinter (a medley of In The Bleak Midwinter and Away In A Manger), Be Thou My Vision, For The Beauty Of The Earth (which could also be programmed under the title As With Gladness Men Of Old), Jesus, Lover Of My Soul, O Little Town Of Bethlehem (in a medley of two English tunes) and Oh The Deep, Deep Love Of Jesus. Violin and cello parts are at the end of the full score, allowing for the easy creation of separate booklets. The collection was selected by Sheet Music Press and a panel of judges from Lorenz Publishing Company as a runner up in the Sacred Music Small Ensemble category of the 2019 competition to find the best music published in the time frame. It was recently reviewed by David Kim, Concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra as follows: "I'm so happy that Evelyn Larter has created this wonderful and much-needed collection of hymn arrangements for piano trio. She has a knack for writing that is easy to put together, yet lacks nothing in terms of harmonic, melodic, and instrumental depth. I find her work deeply moving, spiritual, and satisfying."
