Following the success of Horn Concerto No.1 in Ab Major the composer was encouraged to write a second concerto which is featured here. It is a lively and enjoyable piece written to enable a college orchestra performance. The solo horn part is quite playable and the instrumental parts are non too complex but fun to perform.
