Pat Metheny’s funky, uplifting tune from his unique 1995 album “We Live Here” is given the wordless vocals treatment in this classic Kerry Marsh chart that has since been adopted by his professional quartet Vertical Voices. A dramatic intro and interlude section, some fun, funky guitar lines sung in unision, some scat solo space and a very memorable chorus make this a great break in an ensemble’s set, while maintaining artistic integrity due to Metheny’s distinctive compositional voice.
