This arrangement features the first cello part as the soloist, so double that part last. The first verse should be played with only one cellist per part, with the entire ensemble joining for the first chorus at bar 23. It is imperative that the ensemble balance blends so that cello 1 part is considerably louder than the other parts. Every part is in the middle register during the verses while the choruses showcase the cello's upper register. The lower register is used sparingly to maintain a relatively static atmosphere in the music.
