Solo Clarinet and Clarinet Quartet (2 Bb clarinets, alto/Bb, bass clarinet). This is a full arrangement of Weber's Grand Quintetto Op. 34 for clarinet quintet. The solo part has been left unchanged, with the accompanying parts now on clarinets. This is a true clarinet showpiece, with most of the interest lying in the solo part. The accompanying parts are rhymically straightforward, although clarinet 1 does ascend to top G a few times. The lower parts are more straightforward. A chance to hear a standard piece of clarinet repertoire for a new combination of instruments.
